Looks Who’s Recreating The ‘Ghostbusters’ Theme

Ghostbuster, starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth, will hit cinemas next week. We are very excited to see how the new movie will stand alongside it’s predecessors – will it be as good as Ghostbusters and Ghostbuster 2?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

However, it’s the movies soundtrack that has us folks at Pint of Pop all in a spin. We’ve heard so far that the movies soundtrack will feature songs from the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, WALK THE MOON, G-Eazy ft. Jeremih, Pentatonix and Wolf Alice.

But, the most exciting news to come from this movie is that the ‘Ghostbusters’ theme IS being reworked for the upcoming movie.

Fans were curious to hear if the original Ray Parker Jr. song would be used, and we can tell you it’s not!

The ‘Ghostbusters’ theme is getting a 2016 revamp from Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliot.

How will the updated version of the track sound? Who knows!?
We have high hopes for this one though. If anyone’s pissed off that the track is getting the 21st century treatment then you still have the original to listen to – so don’t stress!

Pete Wentz from the group has already stated that he has “crossed one off the kid bucket list” by covering the track.  Good on you lads!

Just recently Elle King unveiled her new track which will appear on the soundtrack. Take a listen to ‘Good Girls’ here:

The full track listing for the album will be revealed soon.
